Sometimes you need girl time. period.

These beautiful girlies and I played Simka Sol dress up and "snapped" *clicked* and "vogued" away.

We also brought in some really great women artists to participate in this shoot. April from Ape&Bird designs and sews fantastic hats, bumbags (fanny packs!) and handkerchiefs with her business mate Richer, all from their Providence RI studio. They're fantastic, I mean, a hat that is also a functional pencil holder! dude. stop.

The jewelry seen on the girls is hand forged by Chelsie of Fable&Lore. Chelsie uses traditional metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, hammering, and soldering to create her unique visceral pieces. Her new Astral collection literally had us howling at the moon. Lets just say we had a hard time taking these pieces off, and one of the girls may have taken one home!

Check out both of these fantastic women makers, see something you like? Maybe a gift for a special friend you haven't had "girl time" with in a while? Or maybe just something for you for being an awesome YOU, either way, supporting these strong women independents is a fantastic way to feel good.

Keep being stunning. Get some girl time.
